Photographs of World War I Planes
One lot of 64 glossy copy print photographs made some time between
1930 and 1960 all of World War I planes. The sizes range from 4 ½" x 3
¾" to 8 ½" x 6", all mounted on a flexible board 10" x 8". Many are
identified on the mounting, some in the photograph. Very nice, sharp

Autograph Album Containing 183 Royal Naval Air Service Officers
Autograph album containing approximately 183 clipped autographs
glued in, mostly officers of the Royal Naval Air Service. Autograph
album containing approximately 183 clipped autographs glued in, mostly
officers of the Royal Naval Air Service. The signatures, many
including rank, were clipped from a booking ledger at an aircraft
depot, possibly Dover, from January 1916 through June 1917. Green
leather autograph album 5 ¾" x 4 ½" with gilt-stamped "Autographs" on
front cover, all edges gilt. 90 pages of which 43 contain anywhere
from three to six autographs. Two pages contain accomplished
sketches/cartoons, one by A. G. Rowe dated "11.17" of an artist with
portfolio standing in front of an enlistment poster, "A Call to Arms
Your Country Needs You Enlist". The other is a pen sketch by Len Alker
[?] of a smartly dressed lady and gentleman which is captioned,
"Blighty". On the verso of the front endpaper of the album is written,
"NOTE / All the following are the signatures of RAF Offices during the
War 1914-1918." Fifteen of the signatures have been clipped out and
moved to a new page with the new page location noted next to the gap
in the paper. Two of these removed signatures are no longer with the
album, R. D. Casey, and Grange. Included is a six page spreadsheet
with the officer's name, rank, autograph book page location, location
in Bowyer's, Airmen in World War I; location in Cross & Cockade Vol
19, #4; and other reference works.  Among the signatures represented
