A biography of Ball with the majority of the book devoted to his combat record in World War I. He died under mysterious circumstances flying an SE5 with No 56 Squadron. He had been credited with at least 44 combat victories in a period of only 15 months active service. This revised edition includes a greatly enhanced collection of photographs. Appendices include Aircraft Flown, AFB1 Story, Award Citations, Combat Record, Memorabilia, Bibliography, and Index. With 76 black and white photographs and one map. A very fine copy jacket not clipped.
