New Castle, DE: Oak Knoll Press, 1989,

First Edition. octavo, in slipcase. 80pp. Oak Knoll Press, Item #12266

Cloth and quarter leather. Limited to 250 copies printed by Martino Mardersteig. This fine, limited edition is a facsimile of an original manuscript notebook used by the great bibliophile Thomas Frognall Dibdin to list rare books and manuscripts he had seen in the major Cambridge libraries during a visit in 1823. The introduction describes the events surrounding Dibdin's life in the 1820s and places the notebook in the perspective of Dibdin's career. There is also a current finding-list of the books, manuscripts, and prints Dibdin examined, compiled by David McKitterick. Very fine.
