Frontispiece portrait of MacLeish before sailing for France. Contains a poem by his brother Archibald MacLeish. Illustrated with photographs. MacLeish trained with the First Yale Unit in the US and later served at several Naval installations in England and France. He flew with No. 213 Squadron flying a Sopwith Camel and was shot down and killed on 14 October 1918. A near fine copy.
