Attractively produced calendar for the year 2012. The RFC was formed on 13 April 1912 as the first ever Joint Service organization within the British Armed Forces. It had a Military Wing, and a Naval Wing and it provided pilot training for both, a Central Flying School. All of the full color pictures in the calendar are reproduced from art contemporary to the First World War or were produced very shortly before or after it. The calendar shows a selection of the varied types of duties performed by the RFC on the ground and in the air. Many of them were painted by men who were served in the RFC. New.
