Engraved frontispiece, interleaved throughout, with prices realized and buyers for every lot in a neat, contemporary hand. Part 3 consisted of engravings "by the most eminent artists of the Italian schools...numerous impressions from works in niello, upon paper...upon silver...and likewise a rare series of ancient casts from works in Niello, in sulphur." Part 4 consisted of a series of British portraits, particularly the works of John Smith and George Vertue; "and comprising nearly the whole of the admired productions of Sir Joshua Reynolds..." With the later bookplate of Dr. Eugene S. Flamm, neurosurgeon, bibliophile and former president of the Grolier Club, which was designed by Abe Lerner and printed by Jerry Kelly. Spine scuffed with a three inch break in the calf but still solid. Foxing to first gathering, else contents clean.
