Advertising broadside for John S. Carroll [typefounder]. "As we announced a while ago, we're off on a new tack, and have already started on several 18th Century types by Fournier and Rosart, also an oddball 19th Century face of unknown ancestry, probably French." Carroll offers, and illustrates, A through Z with punctuation marks, 30 pt. Scroll Shaded which was cut in 1841 by Henry Caslon. The broadside has two horizontal folds for mailing and is wrinkled and has three 1 1/2" tears but no chipping.
