Compiled by Lawrence C. Woodworth. Brown trained at Camp Benbrook, Fort Worth, Texas and was commissioned early in 1918. He sailed for England in February, 1918. In June, 1918 he joined 90 Squadron but was killed during a routine flight in a Sopwith Dolphin near Gloucester 23 July 1918. Laid in is the separately printed poem by Wallace Rice, "An American Passeth", written as a tribute after reading this Memorial Volume. Very scarce American memorial volume. Neat name on front endpaper. A few scuffs, light shelf wear. An attractive copy.
