First published in 1775, Perrin's Fables was in wide demand as a French primer. There is a one page Publisher's Advertisement where he descirbes the "important improvements" that have been made in this edition. This copy has the signatures of Charles and Abba Bemis of Watertown and Cambridge, Mass on the front endpaper. The front pastedown contains the bookseller's label of Henry Whyte of Petersburg, VA. Top and bottom of spine chipped, stitching solid.
