Preface by E. G. Johnstone. Foreword by Sir Charles L. Lambe. 8 Naval Squadron was formed at St. Pol in October, 1916. It became 208 Squadron, Royal Air Force on 1 April, 1918. The Squadron claimed 298 victories and had 25 aces. Among the appendices are listed casualties to personnel, honors and awards, aeroplanes and engines. This copy special in that it contains two-line errata slip tipped-in at KIA page and another two-line errata at Occupied Aerodromes page. Illustrated with 25 black and white photographs. Cloth scuffed, spine faded. First leaf of illustrations was apparently detached at one point causing 1/4" dust soiling and short tears along edges, and now tipped-in. Foxing to edges of text block. Name and October 1931 date on front pastedown.
