Extensively illustrated with photographs as well as illustrations, some color and some cartoons. There are photos of the 82nd Airborne's victory parade through New York City on January 12, 1946 and the book is dedicated “To the valiant men of the Eighty-Second Airborne Division whose destiny laid them to rest in the fields of Sicily, Italy, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany.” The book covers both World War I and II and everywhere the 82nd Airborne went from England to North Africa. Norman Rockwell and Martha Gellhorn contributed to the book as well as generals and enlisted men. A good copy with about 3" of the spine covering missing at the head and separation along the spine crease on both covers but book is still intact.
