Illustrated with photographs and with plates reproducing the letters. Katies Lewis, the recipient of "Letters of Katie", entered Burne-Jones' life at an opportune moment, filling what Robertson called 'the babyless void' between the infancy of his own children and the arrival of Angela and Denis (his grandchildren). She was the youngest daughter of George Lewis, the most eminent solicitor of his day. The letters are brief and delightful.
